Arrasate: “I value the result and the courage of the team”

Date:

RCD Mallorca coach Jagoba Arrasate was “very happy” with his team’s performance and praised the result and the team’s “courage” despite conceding the first goal.

The new vermilion coach admitted that for a while he believed the team could “take the victory” against Real Madrid with the scoring opportunities they had in the final minutes.

The Mallorcan coach boosted the figure of Vedat Muriqi after his first goal of the season and said about the Kosovar that he started “in the best way”, something very important because the forwards play better “when they have confidence.”

The draw against the current European champions does not change the “idea” of the vermillions in the transfer market, explained Arrasate who highlighted the match of new signings, Mojica and Asano.

Arrasate received a yellow card before the end of the first half for protesting an action by Maffeo that he believed was “not a yellow” on the pitch, but after watching the replay he informed the fourth referee that he was correct in that card in edge of vermilion.

Regarding his first day as coach of the Balearic entity, Arrasate described the start of a project as “special” and expressed that he hopes to “continue like this” in the coming weeks.

One of the new things about refereeing this season is the area grabs, a change that Arrasate says attackers can “take advantage of” but that will have to be reviewed “as the days go by.”
