Peralada will play in the final against Olot after defeating host Banyoles in a level match that was settled in the first half.
The ‘xampanyers’ came out stronger and after a few minutes of dominance, where they had more attempts on goal, it was 0-1. Arnau Teixidor, who tried for a few minutes, picked up the ball in the area after a set piece kicked by Aleja and beat Bartrina with a beautiful shot.
A goal against them woke up Banyoles, who first hit the target in the 27th minute, but when the locals were at their best, Peralada’s second came in a chaotic game and after a series of rebound in place. Before the break, Banyoles reduced the gap when Aleix García completed a counterattack. In the second half, the intensity of the clash decreased.
