The Tour of Spain and Cofidis They will continue their sponsorship agreement for two more years, making it one of the longest sponsorships in the history of Spanish sport, since it began in 2010.
The French financial entity is the main sponsor of La Vuelta and every day it awards the stage winner, a trophy that in 2023 has been lifted by riders such as Remco Evenepoel, Sepp Kuss, Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard.
In addition to the prize for the stage winner and brand presence in the race’s high visibility media, Cofidis will have a greater digital presence with this renewed agreement.
The sponsorship brand is visible on the ground as well as digitally, as it promotes videos of the stage winner’s celebration that are published daily on the Vuelta’s networks. Also, all race followers will be able to participate in a daily contest to predict who will win each stage.
“For us, this connection to the Vuelta, one of the most important sporting events in the world, is a source of pride because our brand has always been closely associated with cycling, with which we share many of its values,” explained Luc- Bertrand Salus , general director of the sponsoring company in Spain.
For his part, Javier Guillén, director of the Vuelta, emphasized that the test he oversees continues to “build its history with a brand that is closely related to the world of cycling and with which we share values such as commitment, sacrifice, improvement or teamwork”.
