The edition 12+1 from Rodibook Wild routes of the Pyrenees has once again exceeded all expectations. The non-competitive motorcycle event par excellence of the Iberian Peninsula has reached a record attendance with more than 1,400 participants and 53 associateswhich passed through the most wonderful places of Catalan and French Pyrenees.
On August 30 and 31, those registered for modalities Off-Road (Rookie and Pro) traveled between 270 and 400 kilometerswhile those who opted for road routes (Rookie and Pro) done in between 450 and 750 kilometers. As usual in this adventure and exploration experience, the route was kept secret until August 29 in the evening, a few hours before the start of the route, when the roadbook was delivered to the participants of the race.
Jordi Estevealma mater of Rodibook, commented: “It is a source of pride to see how the project continues to grow year after year. In June, we started to see great appetite for this edition, after 80% of registrations sold out in less than a minute. In fact, almost 300 people were left on the waiting list and unfortunately could not participate. The motivation of the participants and the involvement of volunteers make Rodibook the reference event for all motorcycle enthusiasts.
The motorcycle activity significantly promoted the tourism and hotel activity of Vielha, which hosted participants from different autonomous communities, especially Catalonia, Madrid, the Valencian Community, Andalusia and the Basque Country. The mayor of Vielha, Juan Antonio Serranohighlighted the work of all the volunteers and Rodi Motor Services, sponsor of the event: “I want to underline the great effort and work done over the years. I thank everyone who works with the organization and makes possible this wonderful event that puts Vielha on the map every year.
In addition, the organization recognizes its commitment and respect for the local community through the designation €10 from each registration to charity projects sent to different entities. This year €15,000 was donated between different social integration projects, cultural heritage conservation and reforestation and environmental recovery actions.
The 12+1 edition of the Rodibook Wild Routes of the Pyrenees also had the special participation of the great ambassadors from the biker world, like Joan Pedrero, Kirian Mirabet, Gerard Farres, Ivan Cervantes and Isaac Feliu and top-level influencers like Charlie Cinewan, Jaime Lozano from Cabras on wheels, Motorcycle Majes and Majesina on a Motorcycleand Mario Garrido and María Santiuste from Traveling with Mabre.
In the 12+1 edition of the Rodibook they participated 55 womenwhich has done both road and off-road routes. On the other hand, this edition of the Rodibook had the help of 75 volunteers.
