These are the records of the first day of the F League

Date:

Espanyol-Real Madrid: 0-5

The Spaniard’s bittersweet return to League F, after three years, against a formidable Real Madrid showing its credentials and with Caroline Weir, recovering from her long injury, in an excellent performance with two goal and an assist. Sara Monforte’s team lost 0-5 in the match that opened the competition, in a contest of clear white supremacy with two goals from Weir and as many from María Méndez, Athenea del Castillo and Maite Oroz.

Levante-Athletic Club 0-1

Athletic achieved the first victory of the season thanks to an early goal from Irene Oguiza which Holmgren was not quite right, to which had to add a ghost goal disallowed for Levante in the second half. The locals were in tow from the first minute; The 4th minute was almost gone when a poisoned cross from Oguiza went into the goal. Previously, Nanclares avoided the local goal in a one-on-one with Chacón, and his constant stops were the dynamic throughout the match. Levante showed a good face, but lacked firepower in attack. Pinedo was able to extend the distance with a shot outside that was saved by Holmgren.

Madrid CFF-UD Tenerife 2-1

Madrid CFF started the season with a comeback against a UD Tenerife team that had a good first half but fell short after Melgard’s goal.’ The visitors made the Madrid team uncomfortable in the first minutes thanks to a solid defense and a massive attack. After half an hour, Jassina Blom finished off a Babajide cross to put the first on the scoreboard. Madrid CFF looked for an equalizer against a confident Natalia Ramos who was unable to stop Melgard’s equalizer in stoppage time.

Passing through the locker room suited the locals better, who turned to attack and frustrated a deflated Tenerife. Ramos was very demanding in the second half and intervened in several saves, but he had nothing to do with McKenna’s goal in the 61st minute after controlling inside the area. The advantage on the scoreboard could have been greater, but the lack of a goal and the visiting goalkeeper prevented it.

Eibar-Betis 2-0

Eibar pulled out all the stops to score their first win of the season in a match where they imposed their style of play and benefited from the speed of their star signing; Margherita Monnecchi. Although the first chance came from Betica with a cross-shot from Naima García, the Italian scored the first after quarter of an hour in a one-on-one match which Vizoso won. A cross from Monnecchi himself in the 40th minute was headed home by Ane Campos to make the score 1-0.

In the resumption, the armorers returned the match with a goal from Estefanía Pizarro after an assist from Arene, after Ane Campos recovered, taking advantage of a mistake by the Betic defense. From then on, the Andalusians played more with the heart than with the head and, apart from a few occasions where Miralles was right, they hardly created any danger and revealed the same defensive problems they had experienced last season.

Sevilla-Real Sociedad 3-2

Sevilla defeated Real in a match where they took the lead through Padilla’s goal and Eizagirre equalized in the second half. Fatou Kanteh’s entry was key in deciding the match with 2 goals in 5′. Lavogez reduced the deficit in the 90th minute.

Deportivo-Barcelona 0-3

Barça began its journey in the Liga, in search of defending the title, with an emphatic victory against Depor Abanca which was resolved in the second half after a rough first half of the game. Pajor showed what he is capable of and made his F League debut with a double and Esmee Brugts scored, playing as a winger against a good Depor side who kept their hopes of scoring well in the second half. Pere Romeu made his debut in an official match in a surprising eleven, with many theoretical starters waiting their turn on an Olympic bench.

Valencia-Levante Badalona 1-1

Levante Badalona picked up a point from their visit to Valencia in a match where local goalkeeper Enith Salón shone. The teams were still settling when Marina Martí crossed from the right wing to find Almeida. The Badalona goalkeeper cleared incorrectly and Asun was alert enough to grab the rebound and put the first one on the scoreboard.

As the minutes passed, the Catalan team generated more arrivals thanks to Elena Julve’s rides and had a clear chance to tie the match through Irina’s boots, but Enith intervened. Valencia, more timid in attack, also came close to Coronado’s goal.

In the second period, Badalona made a move in search of an equalizer. Banini came on in the 57th minute and was key. In the 65th minute, she helped Irina finish off a ball that Enith stopped, but Llompart sent the rebound into the back of the net to tie the game.

The Argentine’s entry changed the Catalan game, creating more chances and harassing the goal that Enith defended. In the 90th minute he avoided 1-2 with a point-blank shot by Pujadas and a subsequent hit by Banini. In the end, Ferrán Cabello’s team had to settle for a draw which left the local team with a good taste in their mouths after completely losing control of the match in the second half.
