Fahad Al-Muwallad, former Levante player, is in serious condition after falling from a balcony in strange circumstances

The former Saudi international Fahad Al-Muwallad was hospitalized in intensive care in Dubai after falling from the balcony of his private residence in the Gulf emirate, Saudi and Emirati authorities said on Sunday. The 30-year-old forward, who participated in the 2018 World Cup after a brief loan spell at Levantplaying at the club Al-Shabaab from Riyadh from 2022.

The Saudi consulate in Dubai reported in a statement published overnight from Saturday to Sunday about its investigation being “conducted by the police” of the emirate. Dubai’s official media office said Al-Muwallad was “in intensive care in one of Dubai’s hospitals” after falling from the second-floor balcony of his home.

The Al Shabab club said it had sent its president to Dubai to “check the state of health” of its winger. Saudi newspaper ‘Al-Madina’ cited “criminal suspects” citing “well-informed sources.” Before joining Al-Shabab, Fahad Al-Muwallad played for Al-Ittihad Jeddah, where he scored 17 goals in 74 games.
