Surprising to say the least, the news that comes about a footballer from City of Manchester who was supposed to be arrested for allegedly stealing a mobile phone in a nightclub in Madrid on September 8. According to ‘El Mundo’, it will be the Portuguese international Matheus Nunes26 years old, who was allegedly arrested by the police for questioning.
The arrest took place at La Riviera nightclub at around 5.30am after he was accused of taking a phone from a 58-year-old man who tried to take a photo of him without permission in the toilets of a nightclub. Nunes allegedly grabbed the phone in a fit of rage and refused to return it.
The police made the arrest after being called to go to the nightclub and confirm that the footballer still had the phone with him. The former Wolves player was reportedly handcuffed at the scene before being taken to a National Police station in the Arganzuela neighborhood. Nunes was released hours after the intervention of a lawyer. ‘El Mundo’ reports that he is expected to face charges and have a trial for the incident.
