Budimir, among LaLiga’s best forwards in recent years

Date:

He Osasuna win In recent times it would not be understood without its star striker, Budimir is new. The Croatian striker completes another good season with the Navarrese team; last weekend dialed again to salvage a point against Getafe.

The red attacker arrived in Pamplona in 2020 and since his first year has shown why he is the one most expensive signing in Osasuna’s history (8 million). Five seasons are enough to become him the club’s second leading scorer in the First Division (48 points), just behind Sabino Andonegui, who has fifty-seven.

Last year he was in fight for the Pichichialthough a fracture to his ribs kept him from playing for several games. Despite being thirty-three years old, Budimir is a very regular footballer. Since the Zenica striker has played in LaLiga, only Benzema, Iago Aspas, Gerard Moreno and Joselu have scored more goals than him.

His good performance in the red team led him to play two Euro Cups and one World Cupl, a feat that only he achieved at Osasuna. With the Pamplona team he has several more records, such as having the best average of minutes per goal (171) or being the player with the most consecutive games scored (6).
