Injuries to football players in major European leagues in the 2023-2024 season increased by 4% compared to the previous season and represent a cost of 732 million euros for clubs, according to a report by the company of Howden insurance.

The average number of injuries per team reached 43, which is three more than the 2022-2023 season and twelve more than the 2020-2021 season.
The Bundesliga, the most affected
The league that has been hit hardest by injuries is the Bundesligawith 1,255, followed by the Premier League (915), LaLIga EA Sports (862), Ligue 1 (437) and Serie A (654).
