The Premier League announced this Thursday the opening of an office in Beijing to “continue the growth of the league in China.” Thus, the English competition added its third international office, after landing in 2019 in Singapore and in 2023 at New York.
According to the Premier, this new office will promote football in the region and help create more opportunities for fans Chinaboth to increase their attachment to the league and to the clubs.
To celebrate this inauguration, the Premier held training courses, with the participation of trainers of Leicester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers, in 35 football communities in different regions of China.
Furthermore, the premier has signed an agreement with the Chinese Football Federation for the two organizations to collaborate in developing programs and activities that support the development of elite players, coaches and referees.
The Premier and China have had close relations for many years and before Covid they organized pre-season tournaments in this Asian territory, the first in 2009 in Beijing, won by Tottenham Hotspur, and the second in 2019 at ShanghaiWolves won.
