The technician of Paris St Germain, Luis Enriquepraised the midfielder Senny Mayulu after the teenager helps his team beat the Strasbourg in the Ligue 1 match on Saturday. Mayulu, 18, scored his first league goal in the 4-2 win and was heavily involved in the match until he was substituted in the 67th minute.
“He shows that he has great potential, personality and skills. He is very effective in the box. He scored tonight, but he can score two more,” Luis Enrique told DAZN. “He is a player for the future, I am very happy that he stayed in Paris. We will be very happy with him.”
The team, which features a young lineup that also includes teenagers Desire Doue and Warren Zaire-Emery, has scored 25 goals in eight games. “There must be tense games and, for the young players to develop, I think they need to feel our trust in them and have the opportunity to play these types of games. I think that’s what we’ve shown since last season.”
Marco Asensio, Bradley Barcola and Lee Kang-in also scored in the match, showing the team’s complete offensive prowess. “My goal is to develop the team. Before the team depended on individual talent but that is no longer the case. We have many players who can score, but I don’t care who scores or gives assists,” said Luis Enrique. “What’s important to me is that everyone contributes both in attack and defense. The goal is to win titles and play in the best way possible.”
PSG face PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday in the Champions League.
