The Australian, as he has repeated on more than one occasion, defends that “he will make some changes to the MotoGP format and all that nonsense has to go. Motorcycles no ailerons, nothing hole shotwithout control anti-wheelietraction control reduced to minimum… “Costs need to come down and standards need to last ten years for the worst performing manufacturers to catch up.”
During the Australian Grand Prix, held this weekend at the Phillip Island circuit, Maverick Viñales and Marco Bezzecchi were involved in one of the worst accidents in recent years. At turn 1, the Aprilia driver overtook the Italian during the sprint race and the ’72’ hit the Roses rider in a crash that occurred at almost 300 kilometers per hour. Fortunately, all that in one fear and both participated in the test on Sunday.
The official accounts of the Motorcycle World Championship shared the photos of the accident on social networks and Casey Stoner responded to the post from MotoGP Instagram: “It’s a result of aerodynamics. There’s too much wake they create at that speed”said the Australian.
