The Spanish under-17 women’s team, currently runners-up in the World Cup, will play in Benidorm, starting this Thursday, round 1 of the qualification for the next Euro Cup, which will be held from May 4 to 17 next year in the Islands of the Faroes.
The team led by Kenio Gonzalo will have rivals at the Guillermo Amor stadium in Benidorm Republic of Ireland, Denmark and Austria in search of a ticket for a tournament in which they are favourites.
Spain, current champions of the tournament, will start this qualifying phase against Ireland (11:00 am), play its second match on the 17th against Denmark (5:00 pm) and close the competition against Austria next Wednesday against Austria.
The Spanish coach, Kenio Gonzalo, has named 21 players for this qualifying phase. Barcelona is the club that contributes the most footballers with five, followed by Sevilla and Real Madrid with three.
