This is how the Nations League groups ended: promotions, relegation and what will be the draw

The group stage of the Nations League ended on Tuesday night with Wales and the Czech Republic advancing to League A, which includes England and Norway. This is the summary of the competition that awaits Friday’s draw in Nyon to configure the quarterfinals and the various playoffs to determine promotions and relegations to be played in March 2025.

LEAGUE A

In the quarterfinals as first in the group: Portugal, France, Germany and Spain

In the quarterfinals as group seconds: Croatia, Italy, Netherlands and Denmark

Room draw: On Friday, the group runners-up will be paired with the group winners, except that the two teams that met in their group will not meet again.

Group third parties: Scotland, Belgium, Hungary and Serbia.

Lottery: The four third parties will face one of the second in League B in March to ensure their permanency or relegation.

Group rooms: Poland, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland are relegated to League B.


LEAGUE B

They were promoted to League A as group winners: Czech Republic, England, Norway and Wales.

Group seconds: Ukraine, Greece, Austria and Turkey

Lottery: The four seconds will face one of the third in League A in March to be promoted.

Group third parties: Georgia. Ireland, Slovenia and Iceland

Lottery: The four third parties will face one of the second in League C in March to ensure their permanence or relegation.

Group rooms: Albania, Finland, Kazakhstan and Montenegro were relegated to League C.

LEAGUE C

They were promoted to League B as group winners: Sweden, Romania, Northern Ireland and North Macedonia

Group seconds: Slovakia, Kosovo, Bulgaria and Armenia

Lottery: The four seconds will face one of the third in League B in March for promotion.

Group third parties: Estonia, Cyprus, Belarus and the Faroe Islands. They are still in League C.

Group rooms: Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Latvia. Azerbaijan and Lithuania were relegated to League D as they were the two worst quarter-finals.

Lottery: The best fourth places (Luxembourg and Latvia) will face the second two in League D in March to ensure their permanence or relegation.

D LEAGUE

They were promoted to League C as group winners: Moldova and San Marino

Group seconds: Gibraltar and Malta.

Lottery: The two seconds will face one of the two best third parties in League C in March to be promoted.

Group third parties: Liechtenstein and Andorra. They are still in League D.
