For the first time in its history, the Bayern Munich achieved a global turnover of more than billion euros for the 2023-24 fiscal year, announced its president, Herbert Haineron Sunday during the club’s general meeting. The global turnover of the Bavarian entity, which also includes the basketball section, increased from 690 million in the 2021-22 financial year to 882 million euros for 2022-23.

“And today we have not only reached a new record, but also a new dimension, where Bayern has never experienced,” highlighted the club’s boss, Herbert Hainer. “This year we reached a total turnover of 1,017 million euros,” he added. For the football club, the turnover reached 951.5 million euros, with a profit after taxes of 43.1 million euros, an increase compared to the 2022-23 financial year (35.7 million), but less than the 2018-19 season ( 52.5). the last complete before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Bavarian club also recorded an explosion in the number of its members. In February 2023, it surpassed the 300,000 member mark. Less than two years later, this number reached 382,000, according to Herbert Hainer, who aimed for 400,000 for the 125th anniversary of the club, founded on February 27, 1900.
