The team Aston Martin announced this Monday the signing of Dani Juncadella as a simulator driver.
The 33-year-old driver has extensive experience in single-seaters and sports cars, where he recently competed for TF Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
“I am very happy to join the Aston Martin team as a simulator driver. AMRTC facilities are really awesome and I see the ambition and determination of everyone involved in this project. I look forward to supporting the team from campus in the future” declared the Catalan pilot.
Juncadella, who previously worked for the Silverstone-based team as a reserve driver during the 2014 season, simulator duties began at Silverstone last week at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and supports Aston Martin Aramco from the AMR Technology Campus (AMRTC).
“We are excited to welcome Daniel to the team. The role of a simulator pilot is very importantbecause your simulator feedback will have an impact on the development of the car and our performance on race weekends. “He brings a lot of skill and experience behind the wheel, so we have no doubt he will be a valuable asset to us,” said Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack.
