Scottie Scheffler named PGA Tour Player of the Year for the third consecutive time

Scottie Scheffler was named PGA Tour Player of the Year for the third consecutive seasonwhich makes him the first player to win the award in three consecutive years since Tiger Woods won three in a row between 2005 and 2007, the US circuit reported on Tuesday.


The number one in the world won seven PGA Tour events in 2024including the Masters, defended his Players Championship, took the gold medal at the Paris Olympics and won the season’s FedExCup title.

He maintained his number one position throughout the season, He achieved the best mark on the PGA Tour with 16 top-10s in 19 starts and never missed a cut.

“On behalf of the PGA Tour, congratulations to Scottie Scheffler on a truly historic season, capped by his first FedExCup title and now his third straight Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA Tour Player of the Year,” said Jay Monahan, PGA Tour Commissioner.
