The world motorcycling academy will meet from next Friday to Sunday at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit the fourth round of the FIM World Championshipsvalid for the Junior GP and Moto2 categories and the European Talent Cup (‘Talent Cup’).
This event, formerly known as the FIM-CEV (International Motorcycling Federation-Spain Speed Championships) and now called the ‘Finetwork FIM Júnior GP’, brings together young values of two wheels, along with having of some Spanish riders.
In the Junior GP category, the leader after three events held at the circuits of Estoril (Portugal), Ricardo Tormo (Valencia) and Montmeló (Barcelona) was José Antonio Rueda (Honda) from Seville, with 108 points.
He is followed in the overall classification by David Salvador (Husqvarna), from Madrid, second with 69 pointsand Malaysian driver Syarifuddin Azman (Honda), third with 62.
Seven Spaniards participated in this category, in addition to Colombian David Alonso (Gas Gas), fourth classified, and Uruguayan Facundo Llambias (Honda), among the full quota of contenders.
In Moto2, German Lukas Tulovic (Triumph) leads the standings with 115 points, who at 22 years old brings together great experience in the specialty World Championship as well as in the MotoE World Championship.
He was followed in second place by Australian Agius Senna (Kalex), with 90 points, and in third place was Catalan Álex Escrig (Kalex), with 74, in a category where there were thirteen Spaniards.
Spanish Joel Esteban (Aspar Team) was first classified in the European Talent Cup, where he had 95 points after four trials, with Italian Guido Pini (AC Racing) in second place with 73 and the Malaysian in the third Judge Danish (Sic Racing), inside this one-make cup attached to Honda engines and in which there are fourteen Spaniards.
After the exam in Jerez there will be four more appointments, to be held in July on the Portuguese circuit of Portimao, in September on the Italian Misano and in October on the Spanish circuits of Aragón and Valencia.
