Ivan Juric has announced that he will try to implement high-intensity football in Southampton to get the team out of the relegation zone Premier League.
The former Croatian midfielder, who was appointed on Saturday on an 18-month contract, was previously in charge of AS Romabut was dismissed in November after just 12 games in office.
“When I was younger, I really liked death metal music, and I think that’s similar to my style of football,” he said. Juric to reporters on Monday.
“Work hard, press hard, play well, be intense, all these things. I think (the players) can do it. They are young, they are positive, they want to work hard. It is not easy to change the style immediately, but we have to be smart” he added.
