CBF celebrated that, with The Best Awardawarded FIFA’s best soccer player of the year, Vini “joins an elite group” of Brazilian players, consisting of Ronaldo Nazariowho has earned this recognition three times, Ronaldinho Gaucho (2), Romario and Rivaldo.
In addition to reviewing Vini’s career and the titles he has accumulated during his career at real MadridCBF assessed that “the striker’s impact extends beyond four lines” of football fields.
“Vinicius is now one of the main protagonists of the anti-racist fight and works to ensure that other young, black people like him, who grew up in areas of social instability, have the conditions to rise in life and achieve their dreams,” said the governing body of Brazilian soccer in a statement.
