Felipe Drugovich will continue as a test and reserve driver at Aston Martin Aramco

The Brazilian Felipe Drugovich will continue to be the Aston Martin Aramco team’s test and reserve driver for the 2025 Formula One season, as reported Monday by the British team.

Drugovich, 24, has been part of Aston Martin Aramco since 2022 and during this time he participated in five free practice sessions and three end-of-season tests for the team, in addition to replacing the injured Lance Take a Walk during Bahrain 2023 preseason testing.

Will be replaced by his fellow test and reserve driver, Stoffel Vandoorne, Felipe Drugovich will continue to be present at the Grand Prix throughout the 2025 season.


“I am very pleased to stay with Aston Martin Aramco for a third full season as a test and reserve driver. There is a lot of momentum in this team and I am excited to see what we can achieve together. The incredible new AMRTC facilitieswith the new simulator, shows ambition here, and I’m committed to being part of the team’s long-term success,” Drugovich said after signing his renewal.

For Mike CrackAston Martin Aramco Formula One track boss, Felipe Drugovich has been “an important member of the team since joining” and, therefore, they are “very happy to continue working” with him in 2025.

“He is a real asset. His contribution behind the scenes, especially in the simulator and during test sessions, is invaluable, and he never puts one foot behind the wheel. The dedication and feedback of Felipe played an important role in our development, and we are confident that he will continue to have a significant impact as part of our teamhe commented.

Felipe Drugovich will compete in the 24 Hours of Daytona (United States) between January 23 and 26.
