Erling Haalandwho just renewed his contract with City of Manchester until June 2034, expressed satisfaction after the agreement was reached. “I’m very happy. I’m proud. It’s hard to put it into words because it’s a great moment. I’m happy and that’s the right word. I really want to stay here for a long time.”

The Norwegian revealed what convinced him: “In the end, talking to the people I talked to, the hunger and support I’ve been receiving over the last few years from the board and from Pep Guardiola… It’s a easy decision . I’m glad”.

With City, Haaland won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. But he has expressed his desire to achieve more: “I will stay for a long time. Now I can fully concentrate on improving, on performing and improving to give all the fans what they want.”

The forward stated that “it all happened very quickly. I feel like I signed earlier. It happened very quickly and that’s a good thing. It means I’m enjoying it. In two and a half year I won many trophies, I played great football and I had many amazing moments with the whole club and with the fans I still remember the street in the rain after the treble, which was probably the most wonderful moment and like dream these two and a half years.”
