Cristhian Stuani, The captain of Girona and author of the goal of success this Monday against Mallorca (1-0), was identified after the game that players were “euphoric” because they needed “a lot of success”, after eleven meetings without winning.
Stuani argued with Dazn that the team had developed occasions to be “just winning” and competing “very well from start to end” and knew how to suffer and “endure” the result.
“In these situations it’s not easy to deal with games. You have to play in the heart and the soul and I think the team has shown a lot of rebellion,” the striker said.
Uruguayan’s footballer, with five of Girona’s last seven goals, was also “very happy” for the team and fans and encouraged to “enjoy” the success, after weeks of suffering.
“If the team needed me there, I was playing more now and I tried to do my best and empty in court to help the team and I got it,” he concluded.
