Spanish Carlos Sainz (Williams), who has four success and 27 podiums on Formula One, said Saturday in the Spanish capital that “won or made a podium here in Madrid would be something incredible.”
Sainz, 30, made these statements at a press conference that took place at the IFEMA enclosure (Madrid Fair Institution), within the outline of the exhibition that would share in the ‘Madring’ layout part, circuit which next year – and in principle up to 2036 – the Spain Grand Prix will be played.
“Of course I would describe to me the fight for the podium here someday. Life showed me that dreaming was free; and that, in addition, dreams come true. I want to be a pilot of Formula One, I want to be a McLaren pilot, from Ferrari … I want the Spanish Grand Prix, the ninth of the F1 World Cup.
In his first year with Williams, he had previously scored in the four previous championship races.
“I dream of making a ‘pole’, getting a podium or winning in Madrid,” replied the Madrid pilot this Saturday in the capital of Spain, with the new circuit ambassador, before riding in the FW45 – the car that Williams played in the World Cup two years ago – to pull out the ‘outing on the road’ of anger.
