Formula 1 and FIA were announced on Monday by the F1 2026 preseason dates and confirmed that what to this day is just a rumor. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will host the first test of an F1 preseason, from January 26 to 30, 2026, important for all teams in the World Championship of Formula 1, as it will be the exit of cars under the specifications of the new regulation.
But the good news is that fans will not reach this occasion, as it is in a private test of closed doors that will allow teams to cut the first conclusions of new units created under new regulations.
In large lines, regulation 2026 of Formula 1 will introduce significant changes to aerodynamics, power units and maintenance. Cars are expected to be shorter and more light, with active aerodynamics and machines with the highest electrical contribution, in addition to using 100% sustainable fuel.
FIA also confirmed the other two F1 preseason exercises held at the Bahrein International Circuit. They are from February 11 to 13 and from February 18 to 20.
Changing dates for Baku
In the same FIA statement, they made a change of dates for the Azerbayan GP of 2026 at the request of the Baku organization and the racing day preceded a day. It is scheduled for September 27th, but when it matches the national holiday and being a circuit in the city, it is earlier on Saturday, September 26th.
