Belgian Nafissatou Thiam, double Olympic heptathlon champion, reclaimed the world title in the last discipline, the 800-meter race, where, in a time of 2: 13.00 (fifth), he snatched first place from Dutch Anouk Vetter, Olympic runner -up.
A whiplash of 58.29 meters on the javelin allowed Vetter to lead the joint with one test left, but Thiam, who finished as the leader on the first day, regained the position at the closing of the test.
The Dutchwoman set a national record with 6,867 points, and American Anna Hall took bronze (6,755) thanks to her victory at 800.
On the way to his success, Thiam posted scores of 13.21 in the 100m hurdles; 1.95 high; 15.03 by weight; 24.39 out of 200; 6.59 in length; 53.01 in the javelin and 2: 13.00 in the 800 race.
Claudia Conte, the second Spaniard in history to dive in the heptathlon of a World Cup (the former was Inma Clopés, sixteenth in Athens), finished ninth with 6,194, a personal best, with a slight time which is 3.65 (personal best) in the 100 m hurdle; 1.86 in height (best score of the season), 12.46 in weight; 24.77 (personal best) at 200, 6.00 in length, 44.69 in javelin and 2: 14.14 in 800.
