After the Pyrenees, the Tour accelerates rapidly with a stage designed for sprinting

Date:

While the legs are still warm from the superhuman effort of Pyreneesthis Friday the survivors of 109th edition of the Tour de France they face a strange stage, where the sprinters in the race will seek victory on the stage, with the permission of the stage hunters and the monopoly and control exercised by the leadership team, Jumbo-Visma.

It is a journey of 188.3 kilometers starting from Castelnau and that ends in the beautiful city of Cahorsa town that seems straight out of a fairy tale, because of its rich heritage, where the Valentre Bridge which magically rises above the river Lots and runners tend to have little time to think because of the high speed at which it will be shot, since the profile is completely flat.

Only two fourth-category climbs in the last 50 kilometers could slightly change the film of a stage that was mostly decided at full speed, a fair reward for sprinters like Fabio Jacobsen who suffered what was not written to enter within the time established in the stages of the Pyrenees in order not to be exempted from the race.
