The Argentinian Lucas Ocampos is preparing to live its fourth season in Seville and is said to be very comfortable at the Andalusian club despite the fact that almost since his arrival there have been rumors about his departure.
“This is the fourth season and fourth preseason I’ve been doing. I have experienced a lot. When I arrived in Sevilla, I spent the first week here in Lagos. These are great memories. I think that every year one grows mentally, apart from physically and athletically. I like that, I feel important and I try to transfer it and send it all the time” stated the winger in the club’s official media.
For Ocampos, the way the club welcomed him was very important. “Sevilla is a place where I feel comfortable and we like it. Both my family and I like this city and this club. I like the historical part of Seville. Since the first year we have achieved important things and it feels like my home. There’s always improvement and we’re doing it. I’m happy and I’m looking forward to the start of the championship”.
This preseason has also seen the Argentine wear the captain’s armband, which fills him with pride. “Every time I talk about it more with the boys. Being a captain isn’t just something that means wearing an armband. Jesús Navas, Rakitic and Fernando are references for us. It touched me for many years and being a player I usually play and I like it,” he said.
The footballer is looking forward to a good season in the 22-23 campaign in all competitions. “The idea is always to go further. That is the ambition of the club and the players who are here. Grow individually and collectively and we transfer that to the pitch”.
