The Asturian driver will occupy the wheel that Sebastian Vettel has left free from 2023
Fernando Alonso will change teams in 2023. The Asturian driver has confirmed that he will occupy one of the Aston Martin steering wheels with a “multi-year” contract starting next season. The two-time Spanish world champion will enter his twentieth season in F1 with his sixth different team.
“I intend to win again in this sport, so I have to seize the opportunities that I think are good for me,” said the Spaniard.
Aston Martin, for its part, has shown its enthusiasm with the integration of the Spaniard: «The team is very happy to be able to count on Fernando’s experience. The signing of a special talent like Fernando is a statement of intent from an organization that is trying to develop a winning team in Formula 1.”
