Jorge Prado, fifth in race 1 of Sweden

Jorge Prado qualified fifth in race 1 of the Swedish Motocross Grand Prixbehind the championship leader, Slovenian Tim Gasjer, in a test dominated by the Yamahas of Frenchman Maxime Renaux, Swiss Jeremy Seewer and Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff.

The three and the Yamahas led from the start and ended up on the podium. Gasjer only improved to fourth place, and Prado, who won his second MX2 title in Sweden in 2019, was consistently between fifth and sixth place.

Another Spaniard, Rubén Fernández, is fighting to be in the top ten but ultimately a mistake relegated him to 17th place. Race 2 of the Swedish GP starts at 5:00 pm

The Motocross World Championship returns to Uddevalla for the first time since 2019 for this Grand Prix.
