Next Wednesday the first continental title of the season in Europe will be played, the Super Cup, which this year will be played by Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt. A competition that, although it came in the first breaths of the season, left us with goals to remember. Below we review some of the best of the 21st century.
1
RICARDO QUARESMA (2004)
Valencia takes the title (1-2)
At the top of this ranking should be the Portuguese winger. His legendary goal from over 30 meters is the history of the competition. Porto lost 0-1 when Quaresma took an ill-advised whip for Cañizares.

two
RADAMEL FALCAO (2012)
Falcao gives Atlético the title against Chelsea with a hat-trick (4-1)
The Colombian had already scored a great Vaseline goal, but his second goal of the night was unforgettable: after catching the ball in the box from an angle, he made two feints without touching the ball and sent it in the top corner with an incredible thread.

3
MARCO ASENSIO (2016)
A left-footer of his opened the way to the title for Madrid against Sevilla
An unbeatable shot. Couldn’t do better. Marco Asensio took the ball away from the goal and without even thinking, he took a whiplash that nailed Sergio Rico.

4
DANNY (2008)
A goal worth a title against United
It was the 59th minute of the game when Danny dressed as Messi to leave all the defenders sitting and beat Van der Sar through his own post. It was 0-2 and, although Vidic would close the gap later, 1-2 would be the final score. It was the first and only European Super Cup won by Zenit.

5
LEO MESSI (2015)
Messi’s fouls destroyed Sevilla
Leo Messi cannot be missing from a list of great goals. The Argentine star opened the scoring in that final with a free kick that he dispatched to the same squad. It was the 7th minute and in the 15th minute he did it again. Either of those two goals could be on this list, but the first is more delicate. Barça wrapped up the title in extra time with 5-4 on aggregate.

6
LEO MESSI (2011)
A big cut opened the way against Porto
Messi again with a goal that may seem simple but is a work of art. The Blaugrana ’10’ left Hélton sitting with movement from the waist and not touching the ball to score at will. The match would end 2-0 and Barça would win the fourth Super Cup.

7
FERNANDO TORRES (2013)
A killer goal against Bayern
After a good counterattack from Chelsea, the ball reached Torres who, from the penalty spot, made it impossible for Neuer to appeal. It was the first goal of a game against Bayern that, after ending in a draw (2-2), the Germans would win on penalties.

8
ROBERTO CARLOS (2002)
A Guti heel referring to Roberto Carlos at Feyenoord in front
Madrid lead 1-0 when in the 21st minute Cambiasso started a great play, dribbled past Christian Gyan, gave the ball to Guti and Guti left it on his heel so Roberto put it in Carlos in the top corner with his right leg. Real Madrid would win the final 3-1.
