The bicycle is becoming increasingly popular as a means of transport in the city. Thus, cycling to work or to another place has become an alternative to circulate in a healthy, economical and also environmentally friendly way.
However, cyclists must respect the traffic rules which, if not observed, will entail a penalty in the same way as with other motor vehicles or with the scooters themselves.

The recommendation of the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) is clear: “For safety, in the city and on the road, it is always recommended – not mandatory – to ride on the bicycle paths when available.”
