can reduce their CO2 emissionsmeet the diverse needs of users and ensure sustainability through a wider range of products.

The Toyota bZ compact SUV prototype was designed in Europe by the European Design and Development Center (ED2), based in France, as a battery-electric vehicle -Battery-Electric Vehicle (BEV)-, following a clear and vital approach. This approach celebrates the duality of the vehicle, combining the minimalist design expected of a BEV with the vitality that inspires the future. The prototype represents a vehicle with zero emissions, what
use sustainable materialslow impact, and that offers great dynamics, advanced technology and great style.

The prototype’s aerodynamic shape reinforces its futuristic image, with wheels closer to the ends to convey more aggressiveness and appear to move even when stationary. Short overhangs and swept back corners underline its technologically advanced appearance, while the narrower bottom design gives it an agile appearance with less drag.

The bold style is continued inside, with high-quality finishes that give it a distinctive look. It should be noted that the design team has included several eco-friendly touches, such as seats made from recycled and plant-based materials, in line with the Beyond Zero theme. An onboard personal assistant connects the driver and passengers to the vehicle through audible and visual cues that move through the cabin in response to requests or instructions from the front or rear occupants.

With the Beyond Zero message, Toyota envisions a future where carbon neutrality is achieved through the practical introduction of a range of products with advanced powertrain technologies, alternative fuels and zero emissions. In Europe, Toyota plans to launch six models under the bZ brand by 2026. A diverse portfolio of electrified products will help Toyota achieve its global goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
