The DGT has already installed the special device for the regulation, management and monitoring of the 18.2 million planned road trips that will take place on the occasion of the Christmas holiday and will end on Sunday, January 8, 2023. As usual, we have
determined in different phases which coincide with the main Christmas festivities and which also take place on weekends this year.
Many of the trips, both long and short, go to second homes, mountain areas for winter sports, winter and Christmas tourist areas, as well as commercial areas. Thus, the device has the maximum availability of human resources (agents of the Traffic Group of the Guardia Civil, official personnel of the Traffic Centers, helicopter patrols and personnel in charge of maintaining equipment and installing measures on the road) which, among other functions, will are responsible for facilitating mobility and traffic flow, and for ensuring road safety on the roads.
