The annual saving of using an electric bicycle is more than 2,000 euros compared to passenger cars

With the recent entry into force of the low-emission zones in all those municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, many cars will have to stay outside the cities. But there are two means of transport that, in addition to solving this inconvenience, will save you a good amount of money in your wallet.

The ideal would be to use the car as much as possible, park nearby and soon use a bicycle or electric motor, which means a
significant fuel savings.

As for the electric scooter, the annual savings amount to 1,920 euros with an emission reduction of 97%.

The company alludes to responsibility and knowledge of traffic rules. «It is important that if we have not used any of these means of transport before, we practice in a safe environment, we are responsible for the rest of the user and we have a clear knowledge of the regulations so as not to compromise our safety and that of the rest at risk. We have to wear the necessary equipment: reflective elements, a helmet… and circulate without endangering vulnerable users such as pedestrians,” notes Viñals.

Another great alternative is the electric motorcycle. We must bear in mind that with a driving license B and three years old you can drive electric motorcycles that do not go faster than 45 km/h, they must also have a power of less than 11 kW.

It is undoubtedly also a great alternative and can mean annual savings in average usage conditions compared to a 2,004 Euro car with a 99% reduction in emissions. As with the other two vehicles mentioned, it is advisable to practice before moving around the city and, above all, to use a safety helmet.
