The new RAV4 GR Sport stands out for its style, equipment and handling thanks to the Toyota Gazoo Racing DNA

The Toyota RAV4 has always been at the forefront of the market, as it brought to life the concept of a highly versatile and easy-to-drive recreational SUV nearly 30 years ago. Today, it is not only consolidated as the best-selling SUV in the world, but is also one of the best-selling models of all types and classes.

Year after year, Toyota has ensured that the RAV4 remains at the forefront of customer tastes and preferences, embracing new technologies and design principles to keep the vehicle’s appeal and capability current. The latest chapter in the RAV4 story is the new RAV4 GR Sport, adding to the range with styling cues and equipment that express sporting character and refinement, inspired by Toyota Gazoo Racing, the nerve center of Toyota’s mission to create ever-better vehicles through motorsport.

The GR Sport surname has already been successfully applied to a large number of other Toyota models, from the Yaris, the Toyota C-HR or the Corolla to the powerful Hilux pick-up. RAV4 is now taking over with its own inimitable style.

The front of the vehicle is powerful, with the prominent grille finished in a GR-exclusive letter G mesh, creating a deeper 3D effect. The same pattern is applied to the larger, slanted fog lamps, which also feature distinctive boomerang-shaped bezels, further emphasizing the car’s imposing stance.

The GR Sport’s interior also features styling details unique to its level.

The color black predominates in the upholstery and interior trim, creating an environment that is clearly focused on driving. The seats are upholstered in a combination of suede-like material, which offers great grip and support for the body, on the shoulders, backrest and parts of the sofa, and synthetic leather on the reinforcements. Silver gray stitching provides a stylish contrast to the seats, steering wheel and gear lever. The front seat headrests are embossed with the GR logo.

The refined look of the interior is enhanced by dark gray metal accents on the steering wheel, air vents and center console surround around the gear lever. The GR logo can also be found on the handlebars and floor mats.

The RAV4 GR Sport Hybrid Electric features the fourth generation of Toyota’s proven hybrid hybrid technology, with lighter and more compact components for superior agility and efficiency. The total system power is 222 DIN hp/163 kW, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.

This model led to the introduction of a 2.5 liter Hybrid Dynamic Force petrol engine with four cylinders. With premium thermal efficiency, this Atkinson cycle unit offers a great balance of fuel economy and power. In the new RAV4 GR Sport, WLTP fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 5.8 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 132 g/km.
