The Brazilian attempted to attack the vice president with a loaded weapon that, for reasons unknown, failed to fire

Argentine police have arrested Fernando Andres Sabag Montiel for the attempted murder of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. It concerns a 35-year-old man of Brazilian nationality who has a criminal record after being arrested in March 2021 with a 35-centimeter-long knife.

According to several sources, Sabag was in a vehicle without a license plate, which caught the attention of a Buenos Aires police officer. When asked for the documentation of the car, Sabag allegedly dropped a 35-centimeter blade, which he claimed to be carrying as a method of self-defense.

According to local media, it is being used in a “non-regular city and suburban transportation service for free passengers, except through taxis and depots, chauffeured car rental and school transport (including special city services such as charters, contracted services,” something the unverified version would reinforce that he works as a driver for a well-known transport application.

The pistol Fernando Andres Sabag tried to shoot Montiel with is a Bersa cal.32 car with a caliber 7.65. The gun was loaded with five bullets, but for reasons unknown did not fire when Sabag pulled the trigger.
