Instead of the permitted maximum speed of 45 km/h, the moped of a 15-year-old Tyrolean reached a fast 115 km/h. On Monday, the young Tempobolzer was caught by the police with the souped-up vehicle.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the teenager entered a traffic control of the police in Thaur (Innsbruck-Land district) with his fast moped. “The officials first determined that the two-wheeler had a sports exhaust system and a different gear set installed. All lighting was faulty and the foot brake lever was not available,” the researchers said.
License plate removed immediately
At the latest on the moped test bench it became clear what the top speed was for the tuned vehicle. “It measured 115 km/h,” the researchers continued. The license plate was removed on the spot. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
