A Tyrolean pensioner feels “discredited by the army”. She was massively betrayed, threatened, treated unfairly and now demands that her reputation be restored. It all started with a relationship between her partner and a 17-year-old.
The 62-year-old had been together with a 68-year-old Tyrolean for a total of 13 years. The two spent most of their time in a rented cabin in a small community in the Schwaz neighborhood. “Over time, we got to know the residents and felt at ease. We were asked if we wanted to become a member of the seniors’ association there. We did that,” she says.
The ex had an affair with a 17-year-old girl
But then the relationship suddenly came to an abrupt end: “My ex-partner started a relationship with a then only 17-year-old who lived in the small community and who had previously visited us in our cabin a few times.”
The retiree was especially shocked that “he chose a minor”. She saw it as her duty to “tell everything to the girl’s father, whom I also know – to protect his daughter.” She wasn’t a competitor to me, she was a girl with her whole life ahead of her.” She also spoke on the phone several times and wrote messages to the 17-year-old herself. She admitted the connection. He didn’t deny it either, and our breakup followed,” she says.
Threats on the phone, at night at a friend’s house
A few weeks later, the 62-year-old received a call from the young Tyrolean’s father. “I’ll tear you open,” he shouted. He also threatened to harm my ex-partner,” said the woman, who then alerted the police. “A friendly inspector advised me to stay with a friend. Because the girl – presumably on purpose – collided with the tunnel wall on the Achensee national road and is in mortal danger. In the end, she survived the accident – thankfully.”
All this pulled the rug from under her feet and she stayed with her friend for a few days.
“My ex-partner wrote me that I was to blame for everything. The mayor of the small community informed me in writing that due to the incidents he no longer attached any importance to my membership of the Senior Citizens’ Association, that he had canceled my membership with immediate effect and would send me the membership fee back. I was also asked about this dismissal by people I didn’t even know. I feel dishonorably discharged from the military for being the one who has been betrayed and mistreated,” said the elderly woman.
Severe panic attacks, tremors, insomnia
She was in poor health. “My panic attacks from the past are back, my whole body is constantly shaking, I don’t sleep well and it is very difficult to go outside,” she describes. The 62-year-old would like to see her reputation restored by being reinstated in the said seniors’ association “to get out of it herself and thus honorably”. And she demands an apology from the mayor.
But he emphasizes to the “Krone”: “We have taken this step so that peace returns in the village and in our senior citizens’ association. The pensioner can at any time become a member of the seniors association in the municipality where she lives.”
“Welcome to Innsbruck!”
Patrizia Zoller-Frischauf, head of the Tyrolean Senior Citizens’ Association, is also aware of the cause because the 62-year-old asked her for help. “The Tyrolean is very welcome to join the Seniors’ Association in Innsbruck, which offers even more possibilities. This new environment could distract her from the really unpleasant time she had to go through,” offers Zoller-Frischauf.
