Two men, aged 62 and 34, got into an argument in an apartment in Graz-Eggenberg on Friday evening. The elder was stabbed – the younger succumbed to his serious injury. The first clues suggest that it could be a woman.
It was a black Friday for Graz: as reported, two pensioners were found covered in blood in the central cemetery around 5:00 pm. Apparently the man (75) first shot himself and then his sick wife (71). The police speak of “prolonged suicide”.
Woman was present at murder
A short time later, at 7.30 pm, an alleged murder took place in the Vinzenzgasse in Graz-Eggenberg. Two men, aged 62 and 34, got into an argument in a woman’s apartment. She was also apparently present at the crime – the interrogations will show how the relationship between the three was, according to police spokeswoman Johanna Paar. According to a neighbor, the argument could be a relationship dispute.
Neighbors got help – in vain
In any case, the 62-year-old pulled a kitchen knife and stabbed. He hit the young opponent in the neck – a fatal stab. “A neighbor noticed the quarrel and went into the apartment,” Paar says. “He provided first aid and called 911, but the 34-year-old died at the scene.”
The assailant was waiting in the next room. The police arrested him without resistance and took him to the police station.
