On Sunday at 8:20 p.m., a traffic accident with material damage occurred near a petrol station in the municipality of Braunau between a parked truck and a van that drove past the truck at about 20 km/h. The 20-year-old driver from Montenegro stopped his van immediately after the accident and got out to inspect the damage. The 56-year-old truck driver from Turkey also left his vehicle. Both vehicles were damaged in the accident.

As the 56-year-old then tried to force his way into the locked van several times, the 20-year-old called the police.
As a result of the attack, the 20-year-old suffered facial injuries. He received first aid from the Braunau Red Cross and was taken to Braunau Hospital for clarification. An alcohol test performed on the 56-year-old showed a value of 1.62 per mille. The 56-year-old man is generally reported.
