Shots were fired at a nightclub in the US state of Iowa on Sunday evening. At least two people have been killed, according to local media. About ten people were injured in the early morning hours in the city of Cedar Rapids, the KWWL broadcaster reported on Sunday, based on the police.
The shots were fired at Taboo Nightclub and Lounge around 1:30 a.m. local time, according to a statement from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, located west of Chicago. According to a social media post, the club hosted a 90s party that night.
The injured were reportedly treated at various hospitals. Officials were nearby and could have intervened quickly. The police are investigating and witnesses are being heard. There is no further danger to the public, it said.
