Woman arrested – arrested for planned kidnapping Lauterbach

Date:

The German federal prosecutor’s office has arrested a woman on suspicion of terrorism on Thursday. She is said to have coordinated and promoted the alleged planned kidnapping of German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach.

The German is accused of having held a senior position in the administrative part of the anti-state group that came to light in April. The authority announced this on Thursday in Karlsruhe. She is alleged to have been involved in the procurement of weapons and explosives and has repeatedly called for the rapid implementation of the project. Another allegation is that the woman conducted recruitment interviews with potential association members.

Officials arrested the suspects in the Mittelsachsen district on Thursday and searched the property. The Rhineland-Palatinate State Police and the Saxon Police were involved in the action. First, a magistrate must decide whether the woman should be remanded in custody.

Ideology rejects the state
According to the federal prosecutor’s office, the group in which the suspect allegedly had been active had set itself the goal of causing civil war-like conditions in Germany. Thus, the government and parliamentary democracy had to be overthrown. “For this purpose, the intent was to cause a ‘blackout’ across Germany by damaging or destroying power supply facilities,” it said. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) would be kidnapped and his bodyguards would even be killed.

The association’s ideology aims to reject both the state order and the constitution. According to their ideas, the German Empire would continue to exist based on the constitution of 1871, the researchers said. Four alleged suspects had already been arrested in April. The investigation is still ongoing.
