A terrible accident took place in Rosental in Carinthia on Saturday evening: a 36-year-old from the Völkermarkt district was killed.
On Saturday around 3.30 am, the 36-year-old drove on Rosentalstraße from Maria Elend towards Feistritz im Rosental. At Suetschach he suddenly turned right off the road. The reason for this, according to the police, was too high a speed.
Steering wheel is thrown out of the car
The car came to a stop in a concrete manhole and overturned several times. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle in the accident. He succumbed to his serious injuries.
Investigations at the scene of the accident
The public prosecutor’s office in Klagenfurt has meanwhile appointed an expert to investigate the accident site. The Red Cross, an emergency doctor, first aiders and the fire brigade of Suetschach and Feistritz were also deployed.
