Terrible accident Monday in Linz: On Wiener Straße, a Linz AG tram collided with a 69-year-old cyclist from Linz – the man was fatally injured.
The Linzer collided with the tram on Wiener Strasse. The man was thrown to the ground and was fatally injured.

The tram was heading towards Linz and the accident happened around 11 a.m. between the Wahringerstraße and Scharlinz stops. The cyclist was riding on the cycle path to the left of the tram. It is still unclear how and why the man subsequently crashed into the Bim.
The shocked tram driver was treated by the crisis intervention team of the Red Cross. Tram lines 1 and 2 could only run at 12.10 pm, the Linz Linien had set up a track replacement service.
