In Vienna, a young woman is said to have been raped again. A 22-year-old was allegedly attacked from behind by an unknown person in Favoriten’s Martin Luther King Park on Saturday night and ripped to the ground. The perpetrator then attacked the woman.
The crime happened around midnight on Saturday, police said. The 22-year-old was walking through the park when the perpetrator apparently approached his victim from behind. He attacked the woman, took her to the ground and raped her. The stranger then fled.
After the crime, the victim alerted the rescue service, who in turn called the police. An immediately launched search for the man initially yielded nothing. According to the 22-year-old, the attacker is a 20 to 30-year-old man “with a dark skin”. The investigation is underway.
Third rape in a week
It is the third suspected rape of a young woman in a few days in Vienna. Thursday evening in a Liesinger Park, an 18-year-old was threatened and raped by an unknown person. On Tuesday, the toilet facility in Praterstern, Vienna, was the site of an alleged rape. A man assaulted an 18-year-old there. The police have now been able to identify two suspects (both are only twelve years old). The two boys were said to be “on watch” during the crime.
