Fire alarm Tuesday evening in Rum near Innsbruck: a fire broke out in a rented apartment, probably due to a defective stove. More than two dozen Floriani disciples were deployed. The apartment is currently uninhabitable.
Shortly after 6.30 pm, the local fire brigade was alerted to the fire in the rented apartment in Rum. “This probably broke out due to a faulty oil heater,” police said. And further: “There were no people in the apartment at the time of the fire.” Fortunately no one was injured.
Highway temporarily closed
32 Florianis fought the fire and the enormous amount of smoke. There was massive damage to property in the home. The tenants can no longer live in it for the time being. The adjacent B171 Tiroler Straße for the duration of the operation had to be temporarily closed to the east, traffic was diverted locally.
Further investigation into the fire is underway.
