Swedish furniture store Ikea is recalling an espresso machine that could burst with use. The risk has increased following a change in the material and design of Metallisk’s 0.4 liter safety valve, the company said Friday. Only products with the stainless steel safety valve in silver or gray are subject to this recall.
Customers can also identify the affected product by its date stamp between 2040 and 2204 (YYWW).
Other products in the “Metalisk” range are not affected by this recall. The espresso machine can be returned to any store for a full refund. No invoice is required for this.
