Crash in Innsbruck – stop sign ignored: grandpa rams car in Tyrol

Serious accident Sunday evening in Innsbruck: A 69-year-old driver ignored a stop sign, drove into an intersection and rammed into the car of a Slovak (25). The young driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. on Anton-Eder-Straße. Despite a stop sign, the 69-year-old drove into the intersection without stopping. “Then he collided with the left side of a car coming from the right,” police said.

Duo with rescue to the clinic
The driver of this car, a 25-year-old Slovakian, and a passenger sitting behind him were injured in the collision. After first aid, they were taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.

The 69-year-old apparently escaped unscathed. There was massive damage to both vehicles.
