Wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa lost EUR 940 million in fiscal year 2022, from October 2021 to September 2022, almost 50% more than in the same period of the previous year.
For the multinational, the results are conditioned by a macroeconomic and geopolitical context “extremely complicated”in a year in which the supply chain disruptionsaccentuated by the geopolitical tensions and covid-19.
Despite everything, Siemens signed Gamesa orders value of €11,598 million during the last twelve months, resulting in the order book to a record 35.051 million at the end of the year (EUR 2,509 million more than on September 30, 2021) driven by the “strong commitment” to renewable energy sources.
The company trusts in what?despite the fact that the year 2023 begins in an “equally complex environment, characterized by high inflation and supply chain disruptions”, normalizes the market and allows it to return to the path of profitability.
